While The Loft Cinema is temporarily closed we will be offering virtual screenings of new films to entertain and engage with you while we’re apart! We’re working with distributors to put this together quickly, so please be patient if we run into some initial technical issues.
Below, we will do our best to answer most of your questions about all the different programming we’ll be offering. If you have additional questions, please click here for technical support.
Q: HOW DO I WATCH THE NEW FILMS?
A: Every new release we offer will be available through the individual distributor’s websites and streaming services. You’ll be taken to their websites to purchase and watch the film, but a portion of your ticket will help support The Loft Cinema. You’ll find details about each film and distributor and/or platform below.
The easiest way to get content from your computer (from the emailed link a distributor sends you) to your TV screen is to “mirror” what’s on your computer to your TV with an HDMI cord. Just connect your computer to your TV with the cord and you are set!
The first time you use this streaming platform you’ll need to set up an account. To create a new account at theloftathome.org requires only your name, email address, and a password. To stream movies in the future, you can simply log in.
Once your payment has been processed you should receive a confirmation email, and the film will become available to you for 48 hours. If the film has yet to appear at theloftathome.org, you can try refreshing your browser.
Theloftathome.org’s confirmation emails do not contain a link to watch the film. To view the films you’ve rented through this platform go to theloftathome.org, sign in, click ‘My Account’ and select ‘My Screenings’, where you’ll be able to see a list of all your purchased films.
You should be able to stream the film on your computer, tablet, or mobile device, and, if you have a television that is able to mirror your computer or phone, possibly on your television as well.

You will get access to watch on your computer, phone, or tablet. You can also download the Kino Now app for Roku or Apple TV (requires tvOS 9.0 or later) and watch the film there.
You will have to register for a free KinoNow account if you don’t already have one. After you’ve entered your payment information, your rental period will start immediately and last for five days.

You will get access to watch on your computer, phone, or tablet. If you have an Apple TV or Roku, you can use their dedicated apps for these platforms. If you have a Chromecast, you can cast to it from your phone or computer. They recommend using the latest version of your browser. Internet Explorer is not supported. Due to content protection restrictions, the Screen Mirroring feature cannot be used. Additionally, HDMI or other video dongles cannot be connected to your device.
You will have to register for a free Eventive account if you don’t already have one.

You can watch on supported browsers, operating systems and devices, including Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android, latest versions of Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. When you rent or buy a movie, a button to ‘Play/Resume’ will appear at the top of the page where you completed your rental. If a button does not appear, you can refresh your page or you can go to your ‘Purchases & Rentals’ section under your Account dropdown in the top right. This page will show you what you pre-ordered, rented, or bought, and when it is available. Keep in mind that rentals will only be available for 48 hours after you complete your rental.

Q: I JUST PURCHASED THE FILM, BUT I DON’T SEE HOW TO WATCH IT?
A: First, check your email, and make sure your purchase went through. The email you were sent should have a link for you to watch the film. If you are still having issues, please email us at [email protected]
Q: I’M A LOFT CINEMA MEMBER; IS THERE A MEMBER PRICE?
A: Unfortunately, due to our agreements with distributors, we aren’t able to offer member pricing for these films. But don’t worry – we’ll be extending your member benefits for the length of the closure when we reopen. These rentals will help ensure that we are able do that – thank you for your support!
Q: CAN I USE LOFT CINEMA GIFT CARDS FOR VIRTUAL SCREENING ROOM FILMS?
A: Unfortunately, that’s not an option at the moment. You’ll be able to use them when we reopen – thank you for your support!
