“One of the best films of the year!  This is an inclusive, diverse, multi-level, multi-layered, funny, warm, cool, richly detailed, lovingly rendered, friendly neighborhood instant classic.” – Richard Roeper, Chicago Sun-Times

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Miles Morales (Shamelik Moore), a smart teenager from Brooklyn who is bitten by a psychedelic spider and starts developing super powers. Turns out, this spider was from another reality and, when the hometown version of Spider-Man is killed off by the super-villain Kingpin (Leiv Schreidber), Miles must rise to the occasion to save the multi-verse, a place of limitless possibilities where more than one can (and does) wear the mask. Also featuring the voice talents of Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry, Lily Tomlin, Luna Lauren Velez, John Mulaney and Nicolas Cage. (Dir. by Bob Persichetti/Peter Ramsey/Rodney Rothman, 2018, USA, 117 mins., Rated PG)
