These are the dramatic and inspiring stories of Arizonan’s who fought, suffered and even died serving their country during World War 1. This film commemorates the 100th Anniversary of The American Legion and America’s victory in WW1. On April 6, 1917, the United States declared war on Germany. In a rush of patriotic duty Arizonans were quick to answer the call. Arizona Heroes of World War 1 tells the stories of the soldiers and citizens from the new state of Arizona as they did their part to help win the “The War To End All Wars.”

This historical documentary, using authentic 100-year-old film from the vaults of the National Archives, brings to light the personal, heroic, dramatic and inspiring stories of Arizona’s brave men and women on the bloody battlefields of France and on the home front. These are the stories of Arizona’s unknown and forgotten heroes who fought, suffered and even died to help win WW1. Arizona Heroes of World War 1 celebrates America’s victory in WW1 on November 11, 1918 and the founding of The American Legion, America’s largest veterans service organization.
