Take cover during BAD BLOOD MONTH at Monday Mondays, featuring a boatload of bloody B-movies that will get you good and splattered!

“Give me a K – Give me an I – Give me an L – Give me an L!” Welcome to Camp Hurrah, where bloody pom poms are the hottest accessory when a psycho killer begins slaughtering high school cheerleaders on the eve of the all-state finals. ‘80s drive-in queens Betsy Russell (Avenging Angel) and Lucinda Dickey (Ninja III: The Domination) star with former teen idol Leif Garrett in this bouncing, bleeding bonanza of B-movie goodness featuring graphic violence, gratuitous nudity, bad rapping and more, served up hot and cheesy from the glory days of late ‘80s splatter.  In Bloody Pom Poms (aka Cheerleader Camp), nervous teen Alison (Russell) follows her gal pals to a summer camp for cheerleaders. But Alison isn’t perky cheerleader material. Alison is having bad dreams (and even worse dream sequences).  And her sleazy horndog-of-a-boyfriend Brent (Garrett, extra-sleazy, extra-mullety and prone to unleashing hilariously hideous rap songs that no one wants to hear) isn’t helping matters by coming to camp and hitting on everything in a cheerleading uniform. Soon, the cheerleaders are dropping like flies, thanks to a mysterious maniac with a thing against choreographed dance routines and human pyramids.   Is it the creepy camp cook? Is it the camp’s weirdo video voyeur?  Or does Alison have a psycho split personality just dying to get out?  Half comedy, half horror flick, Bloody Pom Poms also features the finely-honed thespian work of Playboy centerfold Rebecca Ferratti, Penthouse Pet Krista Pflanza and Playboy centerfold-turned-hardcore-porn queen Teri Weigel. Probably the definitive cheerleader slasher sex comedy. (Dir. by John Quinn, 1988, USA, 89 mins., Rated R)
