Have you ever wondered about the shocking incidents, twisted psychology and outrageous bloodshed that led up to the 1974 horror classic, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre? In this terrifying prequel to director Tobe Hooper’s landmark original film, directors Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo (who helmed the extreme 2007 French horror thriller, Inside), unleash the macabre origin story of the iconic madman, Leatherface.
“Wildly macabre … a bizarre intersection of gross-out viscera and captivating beauty … Leatherface is a graceful gut punch.” – Benedict Seal, Bloody Disgusting
In Texas, years before the events of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, in the early days of the infamous Sawyer family, the youngest child is sentenced to a mental hospital after a suspicious incident leaves the sheriff’s daughter dead.
