Winner of the 2017 Italian Golden Globe for Best Comedy, this delightful screwball comedy stars acclaimed actor Toni Servillo (The Great Beauty) as an uptight Jewish psychoanalyst whose life is upended when he becomes involved with a free-spirited personal trainer, well-versed in matters of the body, but less of the mind. Dr. Elia Venezia (Servillo) is a conservative Freudian psychiatrist who lives next door to his estranged ex-wife Giovanna, with whom he is still secretly in love. Elia lives a comfortable but self-centered existence, until a minor illness forces him to see medical attention. Instructed to lose weight, Elia enlists Claudia (Verónica Echegui), a vivacious personal trainer, to help him get in shape. A single mother with an unhinged criminal ex-boyfriend and an out-of-control child, Claudia could use some life coaching of her own. As the trainer drags the doctor around Rome, a series of comic mishaps ensue, and the mismatched pair soon discover that together they can find the perfect recipe for healing both body and soul.
