Officer Cordell was once a hero, but after being framed by corrupt superiors and brutally assaulted in prison, he goes full “maniac cop” (complete with a horrifying Frankenstein monster face) and sets out on a macabre mission of vengeance, teaming up with a vicious Times Square serial killer to track down those that wronged him and make them pay, with their lives! With a bigger budget and more insane/explosive/incredible murderous mayhem than the original, Maniac Cop 2 puts the pedal to the metal with a stellar genre cast, including a returning Bruce Campbell, along with new recruits Robert Davi, Claudia Christian, Michael Lerner, Leo Rossi, Clarence Williams III, and, of course, the one-and-only Robert Z’Dar as our old pal, Maniac Cop.  It’s  A+ exploitation from the B-movie dream team of director William Lustig (Maniac) and writer Larry Cohen (The Stuff).
