Over the Hedge

This FREE SCREENING will be held outdoors at LAS MILPITAS COMMUNITY FARM, 2405 S. Cottonwood Ln., Tucson, AZ, 85713.   Please bring your own seating.  Please note: in the event of inclement weather, this outdoor screening will be move to an indoor venue nearby.

This screening is part of Solar Cinema, a program that allows the community to enjoy a free screening of a film of their choosing! This program travels throughout Southern Arizona equipped with a cargo van outfitted with solar panels (donated by a local company) to power a 12 or 20-foot inflatable screen and state-of-the-art mobile projection system.

In this wildly entertaining comedy from DreamWorks Animation, a group of hungry critters led by RJ the raccoon plot to make their way over a giant hedge that was built to separate the woodland animals from their usual treasure trove of snack food, thanks to the new suburban sprawl that popped up while they were hibernating.   The gang sets out on a zany adventure to overcome the new divide in hopes of pleasing a hungry bear – and themselves!  Featuring a stellar vocal cast including Bruce Willis, Catherine O’Hara, Eugene Levy, Garry Shandling, Nick Nolte and Wanda Sykes. (Dir.  Tim Johnson & Karey Kirkpatrick, 2006, USA, 83 mins., Rated PG)
