It’s BACK TO SCHOOL MONTH at Mondo Mondays, featuring a crazed curriculum of high school schlock that will put you in B-movie detention … forever!

“Will your school be NEXT?” School’s out forever when reading, writing and arithmetic take a backseat to rock, rebellion and The Ramones in one of the greatest teen-sploitation flicks ever made! Vince Lombardi High School keeps losing principals to nervous breakdowns because of the students’ love of rock ‘n roll and their total disregard for education. An iron-fisted new principal, the rock-music-hating Miss Togar (Mary Woronov), promises to put an end to the music craze. But first she’ll have to defeat Riff Randell (P.J. Soles), the rockingest rebel at Vince Lombardi High, and it’s not going to be easy, because Riff has a secret weapon – the hottest band around, The Ramones! And Miss Togar and her uptight flunkies had better watch out, because Riff is about to lead a revolt that will rock the roof right off the school’s hallowed halls!    Packed with killer tunes, non-stop fun and a great supporting cast including Clint Howard, Paul Bartel and Dick Miller, Rock ‘n Roll High School is even better than a teenage lobotomy! (Dir. by Allan Arkush, 1979, USA, 93 mins., Rated PG)
