Róise & Frank

In this delightful, comically heartfelt tale of reincarnation and reconnection, Bríd Ní Neachtain (The Banshees of Inisherin) stars as the recently widowed Róise, who comes to believe that a local stray dog embodies the spirit of her late husband, Frank. Isolated since his death two years ago, the appearance of the mysterious dog shakes Róise out of herself. Ignoring protests from her son, among others, a rejuvenated Róise revels in her newfound happiness and goes all-out to indulge the dog’s love of sports, steak and a favorite chair, while starting to believe in reincarnation and the idea that Frank has come back to be with her again … and to coach the local hurling team!  This witty and warm-hearted shaggy-dog story from Ireland, directed by filmmaking duo Rachael Moriarty and Peter Murphy, is a charmingly moving testament to finding hope in the darkest of places.
