Scary Movie

In the summer of 2000, the Wayans brothers delivered one of the big screen’s funniest and raunchiest comedies in decades with the no-holds barred horror spoof, Scary Movie. Anna Farris stars as clueless teen Cindy Campbell, who, along with her gang of high school friends, is stalked by a bumbling killer one year after disposing of the body of a man they accidentally killed, leading to an onslaught of goofy jokes, gross-out gags and comedic hijinks that smash the boundaries of good taste. A crass, near pitch-perfect lampooning of the slasher craze of the ‘90s, including the Scream franchise and I Know What You Did Last Summer, along with pretty much any/every movie, TV show or pop culture moment from that decade, Scary Movie spawned numerous sequels and has become as iconic as many of the films it parodies.
