Spike Lee’s music-filled, off-beat comedy School Daze takes an unforgettable look at black college life. Amidst gala coronations, football, fraternities, parades and parties, the students of Mission College find themselves caught up in romance and relationships, rituals and rivalries during one outrageous homecoming weekend.  Starring Laurence Fishburne, Giancarlo Esposito and Tisha Campbell. (Dir. by Spike Lee, 1988, USA, 121 mins., Rated R)

Unapologetically Black is a new film and education series co-presented by the YWCA’s Center for Gender & Racial Justice and The Loft Cinema’s Black Experience Film Series.
