Simon Killer

A heartbroken American on a soul-searching trip to Paris finds his buried secrets clawing their way to the surface in this twisted neo-noir thriller from writer/director Antonio Campos (Afterschool). Lovelorn in the aftermath of a recent break-up with his longtime girlfriend, seemingly sympathetic college graduate Simon (Brady Corbet, Martha Marcy May Marlene) travels to Paris to clear his head. After several days of aimlessly wandering the streets, Simon drifts into a sex parlor where he has an erotic encounter with mysterious prostitute Victoria (Mati Diop, 35 Shots of Rum). His emotions suddenly reawakened, Simon finds himself in a serious relationship with Victoria, and he eventually hatches a devious plan to blackmail one of her wealthy clients – a crime that unexpectedly leads to the shocking revelation of Simon’s true nature. Filled with eye-popping color, stylish camerawork and enveloping sound design, Simon Killer is a tense, taut and terrifying thrill ride into a world where what you don’t know can be very, very deadly.
