Strike Commando

This month, Mondo Mondays proudly celebrates the career of B-movie muscleman, REB BROWN, star of Yor: Hunter from the Future, and so much more. Get ready for way too much screaming, punching and t-shirt tearing!

“Holy hell, is this movie … AWESOME! The action is so over the top that you feel like you’ve been kicked in the face.” – Lost Highway

“The Ultimate Destruction Force!” It’s time for non-stop muscles, machine guns and bad movie mayhem in this insanely violent, ridiculously over-the-top Rambo rip-off starring Reb Brown and a bunch of dead people. When Sgt. Michael Ransom (Reb Brown), a U.S. solider in Vietnam, is caught up in a mission gone wrong, he’s convinced the Russians are involved. But before he can crack the case, he’s captured by the enemy and ruthlessly tortured by a sadistic Russian maniac with metal teeth named Jakoda. The bad guys may think they’ve won the war, but all they’ve done is poked a sleeping bear, because now Reb Brown is pissed, he’s armed, and he’s beefy, and everyone … and that means EVERYONE … is gonna pay! An onslaught of clenched teeth, torn limbs, exploding huts, fist fights, Oscar-worthy monologues delivered through angry tears, and endless scenes of Reb Brown screaming incoherently while firing his machine gun at anything and everything, ensues. And it’s all gold. A wildly entertaining trash can of an action flick from Italian sleaze director Bruno Mattei (Rats: Night of Terror). (Dir. by Bruno Mattei, 1987, Italy, in English, 88 mins., Rated R)
