This summer 22 teens at four local libraries learned how to write, direct, and produce short films. Pima County Public Library invited teens to make films that promote books and reading. This program encourages youth voices, creativity, participation in the arts, and literacy. Youth in Pima County received training and mentoring to create short films.
Through participation in workshops youth learned the ins and outs of filmmaking and each participant helped write, direct, and produce a short video. Professionals from Pan Left Productions supplied instruction, mentoring and equipment. Take Six! That’s My Take 2013 was made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Pima County Public Library.
This is the premiere of those films! Come out to The Loft and support local young filmmakers!
