Two for the Road

Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney hit the road and light up the screen in the sparkling comedy/drama Two for the Road, from celebrated director Stanley Donen (Singin’ in the Rain). Architect Mark Wallace (Finney) and his wife, Joanna (Hepburn), travel from London to France to meet an affluent client. Along the way, they reflect on their 12-year marriage in a series of wry and illuminating flashbacks. They reminisce about the glorious beginning of their love affair, the early years of marriage, and of road trips through the French countryside. As flirtation and playful bantering turn to boredom and infidelity, the couple struggles to rekindle their passion and find the way back to their original love.  Featuring gorgeous European locations, a clever screenplay which amusingly leaps back and forth in time, and emotionally resonant and funny performances from its two perfectly-matched stars, Two for the Road is a quirky and sharp love story for anyone who’s ever lost their way.
