Clue

Seven suspects, six weapons, five bodies and three endings!   Clue is the murderously funny comedy based on the famous board game.  Was it Colonel Mustard in the study with the candlestick?  Was is Miss Scarlet in the billiard room with the rope? Or did the butler do it? A mysterious invitation brings six strangers to a secluded mansion for a highly unconventional dinner party where each guest receives a colorful pseudonym.   As they learn more about their unusual host, Mr. Boddy (Lee Ving), via his butler, Wadsworth (Tim Curry), the group learns that Boddy knows all their dirty secrets, and he has a devious plan in store for all of them.  And that’s when people start dying, turning everyone into a suspect.  Together, they try to find out whodunit, but before the night is over, there may not be anyone left to win the game!    A cult classic comedy with a killer cast of hilarious heavyweights including Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd and Michael McKean, Clue turns the traditional, stuffy murder mystery on its head.   Jam-packed with wild slapstick, goofy puns, saucy innuendo, and twist upon twist upon twist, Clue will keep you guessing right up until the very end.  In a movie first, three separate endings were filmed and shown in different theaters during its original release; all three versions will be shown here.  (Dir. by Jonathan Lynn, 1985, USA 94 min., Rated PG)
