Everything Else is Noise

OTHER FESTIVALS: Berlin, Toronto, New York, Morelia

In Mexico, cellist and composer Tere lends her plant-filled apartment to her colleague Rosa for a TV interview. Their conversation wanders, and Tere’s daughter, who like her mother and Rosa is a cellist, joins the process. What follows is spiced with electrical blackouts, a barking dog, boring questions and platitudes. A witty, absurdist comedy that lampoons art-world pretension while honoring female friendship. The minimalist tale is told not only with a minimalist yet hilarious script, but also with a brilliant use of clashes between sound and image.
