Cheyenne

OTHER FESTIVALS: Toronto

Director Taimi Arvidson introduces us to four fearless cowgirls whose reasons for getting on those horses may differ, but whose determination, resilience, and sisterhood are impossible not to admire. Cheyenne balances the exhilaration of riding wild broncos with its very real emotional and physical toll. Cheyenne follows Bee, Brooke, Lake, and Ally on the American rodeo circuit, documenting their physical and mental journeys as they push boundaries and overcome a historic, nearly 90-year gender ban in the sport, with the ultimate goal of competing at the prestigious Cheyenne Frontier Days finals.
