Feel the burn during FREAKY FITNESS MONTH at Mondo Mondays, featuring a pumped up collection of hilariously health-obsessed horror flicks filled to the max with unhealthy cheesiness!

Apartment life can be a real drag, especially when your building is overrun by deadly drooling demons from hell who crave human flesh and absolutely hate security deposits! From the twisted minds of producer Dario Argento and director Lamberto Bava comes Demons 2, the blood-splattered, boldly bonkers sequel to … wait for it … Demons! There’s a scary movie playing on television and the residents of a luxury high-rise apartment building have their eyes glued to their sets. Unfortunately for a young birthday girl, an ancient and eternal demonic evil is released through her TV during the party, and the oblivious, party-going tenants soon find themselves trapped in the building and forced to battle for their lives against an army of murderous monsters who want to eat their faces and possess their souls. As acid blood, demonic dogs, possessed children, mutant babies and rampaging zombies wreak havoc on the ever-dwindling number of apartment dwellers, no place is safe, not even the building’s swanky health club/gymnasium, which becomes the site of all sorts of unhealthy, unholy horrors. While the demon count rises, a dopey young couple fights to survive as they try to escape Hell on Earth! Featuring a young Asia Argento in her very first film role, and an amazing soundtrack of ’80s rock/heavy metal by The Smiths, The Cult, Dead Can Dance and Art of Noise, Demons 2 is a gonzo gore flick from the golden age of Italian splatter films that’s at once unintentionally hilarious and actually sorta scary, you know … kind of like life itself. (Dir. by Lamberto Bava, 1986, Italy/dubbed in English, 92 mins., Rated R)
