“Ten years ago, something terrible happened in this house … this weekend it’s about to happen AGAIN!”  In this supremely silly, frighteningly unfrightening ‘80s slasher flick, a group of randy, brain-dead medical students head out to the California hills to help a doctor rebuild an old abandoned orphanage into a snazzy new foster home (what fun!), and maybe squeeze in some time to give each other physicals. Unfortunately, their philanthropy turns into terror when they discover that the creepy old house was the site of a mass murder a decade before, and the stage is set for a weekend of alleged evil involving a murderous maniac with a nervous giggle, death by microwave oven, and Scott Baio’s much-less-famous brother, Steven. Rock bottom production values, jaw-droppingly awful acting and an aggressively irritating killer who will haunt your dreams (and not in a good way), Evil Laugh is a hilariously trashy videostore shocker from the golden age of slasher flicks filled with unintentional laughs … make that, evil laughs!  (Dir. by Dominick Brascia, 1986, USA, 91 mins., Rated R)
