Something Wild

Oscar-winning director Jonathan Demme (Stop Making Sense, Silence of the Lambs) really offers up something wild with this cracked comedy/thriller about losing control, finding yourself, and kidnaping a date for your high school reunion! Mild-mannered businessman Charlie Driggs (Jeff Daniels) thinks he’s a closet rebel until he meets a real one. Free-spirited and totally reckless, Lulu (Melanie Griffith) hijacks Charlie for an outrageous interstate road trip filled with offbeat sex, petty larceny, and hilarious mayhem.  But when Lulu’s psychotic ex-con husband Ray (Ray Liotta) put the brakes on their joyride, Charlie suddenly realizes that his walk on the wild side may not only cost him his job and his new girlfriend, it just might cost him his life. Featuring a killer soundtrack, electric performances, and truly surprising twists and turns, Something Wild is both a kinky comic thriller and a radiantly off-kilter love story.
