Trainspotting

Newly restored for its 30th anniversary, the acclaimed cult classic from Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, 28 Days Later) is back in theaters with a whole new Lust for Life!   Funny, disturbing, tragic and deeply addictive, Trainspotting is based on the seminal best-selling novel of the same name by Irvine Welsh.  Set in gritty, late 1980s Edinburgh, Scotland, it’s the story of smart, funny, sickly heroin addict Mark “Rent Boy” Renton (Ewan McGregor, giving a thrilling, breakout performance) and his so-called friends – a bunch of losers, liars, psychos, thieves and junkies.  Hilarious but harrowing, the film charts the disintegration of their friendship as they proceed, seemingly inevitably, towards self-destruction.
